My interview process for the parent educator position was like this. They started with a phone interview. I believe it was their screening process. They asked questions like what made you want to choose to work at Family star, what was your past experience like, etc. It was a pretty easy phone interview. Then they had me do a panel interview with over 6 people. They all went around and asked very detailed questions that were written out for them as they were reading them from a paper. Shortly after this interview, they wanted me to go through an observation at a family's house. There you sit for about an hour and watch another parent educator do their job. This was non-paid and they didn't even do a background check on me. They then wanted to have another interview with 6+ of the same people and the supervisors asking around the same questions. From there I was told they went with someone else and were interested in me going into another position where it paid even less and for me to continue with a new interview process. Overall, the process was way too long for $22hr and quite sloppy on their part for not even doing a background check.
