Ghosted. I never heard anything back after I interviewed and sent a thank-you note. It is incredibly selfish and unprofessional when organizations do this. It is disrespectful to the candidate's time, as if the candidate's time is less important. The panel also had no introduction to their roles, the company, or the position they were hiring for. They immediately just started asking me questions about a role I never gained much insight into besides what was on the job description. There was a panel interview with three people. I was asked the same question by two different people: "Name a time when you made a mistake and how did you fix it." I had to come up with a second mistake and lesson I learned from it. This repeated question was also unprofessional as it showed the interviewers were not actively listening and wasted interview time with a repeated and negative question. The organization also showed a lack of respect when it was my turn to ask questions and the interview was abruptly wrapped after only my second one. One of the questions being: "How much of this role is in-person vs. remote?" As the job was listed as remote, but had a note that some in-person visits would be needed for training and meetings. The response to my question was "We have no idea. This is a new role." I thanked them for this information, but it did throw me off that they couldn't actually answer the question when they were actively hiring for the role. Overall an incredibly unprofessional and disappointing experience with an organization I was passionate about joining, and that I spent days getting prepared to interview for.
*The organization itself if great and does important things. This review is solely reflecting on the inteview process and the professionalism of the hiring team.*
