The first two interviews (HR and Hiring Manager) went well and quickly, I was surprised by that due to the other Glassdoor interview reviews. They were the average interviews, talked a lot about past experience with the hiring manager and they seemed really nice during the interview. One or two days later I received the coding challenge which I delivered on time.
Then I was basically ghosted for some time, I had to ask about the progress on the review, but still got ghosted for another week or more, so I would say the communication was extremely poor after those first two interviews. But they finally got back to me with a time and date for the code challenge review interview.
I expected the format to be more of me presenting my solution with some extra questions from both ends at the end. I started like that, but then it quickly became not that and not even a conversation really, but more of question after question, with only a couple of minutes left at the end for my questions. I was quite happy with my solution (they even complimented during the interview), but due to being nervous the interview itself did not go that well. I should have expanded on my answers and give more details, it's not that they were trick questions or anything like that. But again, after waiting for a long time for any answer, I received a rejection from a no-reply email address with some canned feedback in the email about the rejection (which did not match my interview at all, would have been better to not receive any feedback than wrong feedback). The rejection was very impersonal. Communication was lacking. For an HR company, they should really work on their interviewing process.
