This was in 2022 to be frank but it was the weirdest interview I’ve had in my entire career to date. The VP of operations and HR did like a bit of therapy session deep dive for a hour on my life and my motivations. It was just very intense and past motivation oriented, not about the job itself. Never seen anything like it. Very delulu. Now looking back I realise the madness of it all. Good luck to the people there honestly !!!

Interview
I was sent a time for my interview as first correspondence after applying, but couldn't do that date so had to rearrange.
During my interview, the interviewer didn't introduce herself with her name, role, background etc, or ask me about myself or my previous experience. The interviewer was also very distracted by her cat, looking off screen and clicking.
The interview questions did not ask me about my background, education, experience at all. The first one was 'what attracted you to the company', followed by 'tell me three strengths' and then 'tell me three weaknesses'. This felt a bit excessive and was very unenjoyable to answer.
I was then asked for the names of two of my previous managers, and told to guess what they would rate me out of 10 and why! I felt this was quite unprofessional and did not enjoy this.
Finally, I was told that I would hear back by the end of that day or the next working day. I was not emailed on either of these days so had to chase for an update.
I did receive an invitation to the next stage of the process, but based on the first interview I declined.

The first interview was focused on culture and my fit with the position. I was asked mainly about my key strengths, weaknesses, and to illustrate them using examples and personal experiences, and my future aspirations and interests.
