I arrived and first spoke with HR. They were very welcoming and had me fill out an application form before anything had happened. Usually I feel that this should be more formal, but it was just a handwritten sheet. From there I had to walk 3 blocks to another building. I was greeted by a department manager and drilled with intensive and indpeth questions of audio, none of which were difficult, but the setting was not comfortable. I never had a chance to catch my breath. After an exhausting 45 minutes, I was taken next door to the department VP where I was told to explain myself. It was very dry and a stern environment, but I did as I was told. The setting of the office was quite gloom and melancholy. No one looked happy or anything, it was merely a purgatory if you will. After another 20 minutes, I walked back to HR where I was interviewed the typical HR questions. She was nice and punctual in her duties. The vibe I got from this company was that they overwork their employees and it is essentially a pit that they have engineers working in. Some of the questions alluded to a fast paced work style, which leads me to believe that they do overwork their employees.
