I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Exiger (Washington, DC)
Interview
Overall, the interview process was very enjoyable. First started with a resume and cover letter submission. Was contacted by HR a few days later to set up a time for a phone screen where the interviewer provided more detail about Exiger, the role itself and asked basic questions regarding background, experience, interests, etc. It was a standard phone screen, nothing too intense.
Following the phone screen (assuming it went alright), HR will coordinate a time with you to send a timed, basic writing assessment (won't go into specifics for integrity of the company's hiring process), but it was easy if you have some background knowledge and tools to complete it.
HR contacted to set up in person interview at the office, which involved meeting with a few individuals from different capacities. Nothing too difficult, and everything flowed like a conversation, which was great.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Exiger in Mar 2026
Interview
I was approached by an HR representative from Exiger, who was very kind throughout the process. However, this was probably one of the strangest and most inefficient interview processes I’ve experienced.
I went through four different assessment stages. The final step required me to go downtown for a live assessment, which I successfully passed, followed by a panel interview. After that, there was no communication for almost three weeks, until I was eventually informed that they had decided to move forward with “more qualified candidates.” What made the experience especially frustrating was the length and intensity of the process compared to the lack of transparency and communication. Overall, it felt like a significant investment of time and energy without a well-structured hiring outcome.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the phone screening, I was mainly asked about salary expectations, whether I knew the industry. The panel interview was largely behavioural questions. Considering the number of assessment stages involved, the overall evaluation process did not feel particularly aligned with the level of scrutiny applied.
The interview process took about a week, I had to take a test to prove my research and analysis skills, then I took a language test (for the second foreign language I speak) and also I did an interview with the company's director at that time. Overall, the experience was easy and pleasant.
The interview was really easy, a couple of questions about myself and a little bit of talking in English. Nothing you couldn't answer on the spot. Basic interviewing questions. Asked how do I manage deadlines
