I worked at the corporate office for a long time, longer then 10 years.
Through my time at this company, many changes have occurred. This is not the same company from when I was hired. Everything has now changed. Bottom line, the only thing this company is concerned with, is profits and lining their own pockets. All of the mission statements about memorializing each family member with Dignity, is just that, a mission statement and nothing else. That is a joke. This company routinely marks up products well over 1000 % and what they charge compared to what things actually costs, is honestly no other word but a sin / travesty. To do this at a time when families have gone through such a traumatic loss, is unspeakable. Anyone who would be considered a people person on the Executive staff have all been replaced or let go in the past two years. They are setting up all the low level employees. All signs that I saw in my recent time here, indicate to me that they are going to be shutting the doors on all of them. They just need to figure out who to sell to or what and how to break up and sell the company. Evident by the company giving raises this past cycle for the first time in 5 years. With how horrible the company has done starting mid last year, no way should that have happened. Especially considering the years past, the company was doing much better and no raises or bonus were given. Which reminds me, If you like raises and bonus, this company is not for you. Through my 10 years of salaried pay at this company, I never received 1 bonus and had a pay raise twice. That's right, at Christmas parties each year. I got to hear all the other parents talk about raises and bonus, while StoneMor always let their employees hang in the wind each year, sending an e-mail usually about a week or so before Christmas, just letting us all know that no raises will be given and of course, no bonus. Really, anything about this company that is set up to seem like it's for the employee is basically window dressing. The HR dept has a bunch of 20 years old high school graduates who most if not all but the one remaining holdover. Just recently started in the field, and their only experience is the joke that is StoneMor. I would stay as far away from this company as is possible. The only way I would work here, is if I had a sick family member that needed insurance and I had to keep my job. If I was applying, I would run away and never look back. Take my advice, stay away from this joke of a company. And if you do start to work here, make sure to always cover your tracks, back up your work and keep record to hold management accountable, because they will lie and create false narratives to have you disciplined and fired. Also remember that the HR dept at StoneMor, works for StoneMor and not the employees, they will leave you to hang in the open wind, do not trust any of them.
