I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
A brief hello from the interviewer on camera, then she turned her camera off stating to save bandwidth. Okay... You answer 3 questions about some past experiences. The third question is "how do you keep yourself organized?" I asked for an elaboration and was told that she cannot give me anything else other than the question provided. Okay even weirder... Final question, "what is the nerdiest/geekiest thing you've ever organized?" As I am explaining my background, because I have organized some weird events, the interviewer is laughing at very inappropriate moments and continually yawning (while not on camera so I cannot see any body language). Very forced and standoffish. Goes into a spiel about the company and what they do. It sounds like a voice-recording, which is fine, but at the end is more laughing and asking if I have any other questions (which I barely can hear over the giggles). Super unprofessional, don't really understand the Forbes, Glassdoor or Indeed ratings.

I applied online. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (Detroit, MI) in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview process is definitely a little scammy; the recruiters turn their cameras off, and it seems they are reading from a script. This company gives very culty vibes, they don't want their employees to have conversations with each other, pay is low, and they want you to come in out of hours when needed.

Question 1
They asked me to compare my traits to my best friend.
Went through long process of assessments and interviews and it’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything back. Seems like this is a trend for them… Felt impersonal with turning off camera and reading off script.
I applied online. I interviewed at Everlight Solar (Austin, TX)
Interview
Very short. Asked a few questions that were pretty easy, like "do you think it is more important to be detail-oriented or to be good at problem solving?". The interviewer had their camera off.
