Two months after applied, got a call to interview. First one was with HR, a bit of a personality fit assessment. Then the second interview is with the direct line manager. Given a case study 15 mins before the interview to discuss.

Question 1
Given this scenario, what hedging option would you recommend?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi) in Apr 2025
Interview
Assessment day - great fun, group work, 1:1 interview. As long as you have hospitality experience you’ll be able to answer the questions.
They are looking for collaboration and connection in group work, speak up enough but don’t over talk.
I applied online. I interviewed at Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi) in Jan 2026
Interview
I applied in January and completed the initial video interview stage. My application was held 'Under Review' for almost four months. In May, just one day before my 21st birthday (meeting their age criteria), I finally received the candidate information/declaration form, which explicitly stated that further details would be discussed during the interview.
After raising my hopes so high and making me wait for months, they suddenly sent a generic rejection email just 9 days later without any specific feedback. Holding a candidate’s application for months only to offer false hope just as they meet the requirements is highly misleading and unprofessional. Recruitment management and communication clearly require significant improvement.
