You need to enjoy design, have a great sense of fabric and pattern combinations, know correct industry standards for space planning, and be very comfortable with meeting a variety of personality types.
Multi-tasking is critical in this job! Reference examples of how you can transition from detailed design work to quickly popping onto the sales floor to welcome and engage a new client.

You take a 3 hour design exercise to see how you would handle a client design. You create a floor plan using EA software, select product and fabrics and then present the room to the hiring managers.
It is thorough and you need to complete a design assignment. If you know what you are doing, it’s very fun. It took over a month to get hired, so be patient.

It took a while to get the final confirmation of being hired. First interview leads to a second work session interview. Extra effort is likely to secure your spot in the company.
fairly easy. Completed first round. designers are expected to meet monthly goal of selling $60k - if selling cap not met (ex. you only sell $50K) the extra amount (ex. $10k not met) will carry on to the next month. met with two managers, both whom were professional and friendly.
