I had one of the horrible experiences interviewing for ESRI. I know the company is known for its rigorous and lengthy interviews. However, from recruiter to the hiring managers, everyone made me feel like choosing ESRI for an interview was one of the worst decisions of my life. I made it through all the initial rounds and gave my final interview. It took 2 months just to get to the final interview which was fine. The interview itself was normal and easy to follow. I was told that I can expect to hear back in 2-3 weeks. I waited for over a month to reach out to the recruiter to find out the updates as I didnt hear back from them. I spent 8 weeks of my life hoping to get at least a decision while I made other offers wait to see if I would hear back. For any interviews as a candidate this is the most crucial and anxious phase where you want to know if you got the position or not. Even after trying to reach out multiple times after 10 weeks, no one responded back to me. For any candidates trying to interview at ESRI, this company is not as great as you may think.

Question 1
Hiring Manager: Did you google me me before this interview?
Fairly straightforward process.
Started with a recruiter who reviewed a variety of open Product Engineering positions and paired me with a domain that fit my experience. Met with Product Manager and Product Lead over separate Zoom interviews. Scheduled an all-day, on-site interview but had to withdraw due to the location - I moved to a different city due to other commitments and could not move to the office.

The HR team is quite slow in their responses. The interview process can be lengthy, often spanning 2-3 months, and requires continuous follow-up for updates. It’s clear that the HR department could benefit from some improvements
