      Retail Director of Stores Interview

      12 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Erin Condren

      Interview

AVOID THIS PLACE. I was contacted via email late at night to schedule a phone screen. I then had a good phone screen. I was asked about coming in to do a FaceTime/skype interview with someone in Los Angeles for the next week. It was not scheduled. When I tried to follow up a week later (with the same person I phone screened with), I did not hear back. I tried again the following week via phone and email. I did not hear back. I then wrote to the equity holders and within minutes received a rejection email from the person who did the phone screen. That did not make sense because I was promised an in-person interview. It seems like they were playing games. Completely unprofessional. As a hiring manager I definitely know what it means to be professional, on-time, honor your commitments to candidates, and be the first impression of the company. I did not have that experience dating back to the first late night email. This left a poor first impression.
