I applied online. I interviewed at Erewhon (Santa Monica, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
I want to share my experience because, honestly, it’s been very frustrating!!!
The first interview was supposed to be with Brooke, who is the HABA Manager, and everything went well — we went through questions, and I was told I’d move forward.
For the second step, I was told I would be meeting with the director. However, when I arrived, it was again with the same junior person, which meant I had to take additional time to travel again. I was reassured that the next step would definitely be with the director.
After that, I completed all forms and provided my personal information as requested. Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times. My messages were seen, but I did not receive a single response.
This is very disappointing. I invested time, showed up in person twice, and followed the entire process the least expected is a clear response. Not communicating at all is simply disrespectful.

Question 1
• Can you tell me about your sales experience?
• Why do you want to work with us?
• What do you know about wellness products and the industry?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Erewhon (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process for a line cook position at Erewhon typically begins with an online application, followed by a phone screening with a hiring manager. During this initial conversation, candidates are asked about their previous kitchen experience, availability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates who pass the phone screening are invited for an in-person interview at the store location. This interview is usually conducted by the kitchen manager or head chef and focuses on both technical skills and cultural fit. Questions may include food safety practices, experience with food prep, and how candidates handle high-pressure situations.
In some cases, applicants are asked to complete a working interview or trial shift (stage), where they demonstrate basic cooking and prep skills, such as knife handling, following recipes, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
The overall process is relatively quick, often taking about one to two weeks from application to offer. Successful candidates are those who show strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
I applied online. I interviewed at Erewhon (Venice, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
I filled out an application online and immediately was sent a text asking more questions. After the questions, they asked if I could come in for an interview the next day. I accepted. They ended up rescheduling the interview 5 more times for the next day then at the end of the day, rescheduled for the following Monday. I came in the following Monday 30 minutes early and waited 45 minutes. A very nice person came to me and told me that she was to interview me but her manager was taking time off to go to the Grand Canyon and asked if I could come back on Thursday at 3:00pm when the manager returned. I did scan the QR code and filled out the additional information they needed.
I came back on Thursday and waited an hour and 15 minutes. Thursday was a very different experience than on Monday. They were busy. People were cordial, but not super friendly - especially the managers. Finally someone came to me and said sorry, they do not have any openings. I feel incredibly disrespected.
