I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Equitable Advisors (Edison, NJ) in Apr 2015
Interview
Very easy. The Managers want to know you and let you know that this is a tough business. They want to see if you fit into the industry and if you're likeable, because working in a services industry, being likeable is a huge plus. Be sure to ask any questions you have because you having no pay other than commissions and around 600 dollars every two weeks for only two weeks can make people nervous.
I applied online. I interviewed at Equitable Advisors (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2023
Interview
Quick, casual and easy. Soft skills are more important than technical skills for the role. Had 3 interviews: 1. HR - just a casual intro and why you want to work here type of questions. 2. Managing Partner - Asked about my experience 3. Mentor- Managerial and team interview same as 2nd round
It was a multi-step process, which went faster than I had anticipated. That was much more exciting because through out the process the excitement was there and everyone was replying extremely promptly.
