      Executive Assistant Interview

      20 Jul 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Reston, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Equifax (Reston, VA) in Jul 2019

      Interview

The interview process was horrendous. I had an initial 30-min phone screen with my would-be supervisor that went okay. Then I waited a good two weeks before Equifax Recruiters got back to my Staffing Agency to schedule an in person interview. The Recruiters kept dragging their feet and would not get me on the schedule; or the time slots they offered were super last minute I could not rearrange my schedule for. Finally, I had an in person interview scheduled for 12:30pm. When I showed up to the interview on time, I found out that my would-be supervisor was in Chicago that day! I then had to rush to find someplace quickly to do a phone interview. Afterwards, the supervisor set up an impromptu in person meeting with the person leaving my role and another supervisor. Found out today I did not get the position. If I wasn't using a Staffing Agency I would have bounced immediately! The Equifax Recruiters seriously dropped the ball. No only that, I ended up wasting 4 hours of my life running all over Northern Virginia. Staffing Agency told me the reason I didn't get the job is because Equifax in person people were not in a position to positively receive me. I know I did nothing wrong in the interview process, and this is entirely on Equifax. What a terrible company for treating potential employees this way.
