I interviewed with both a recruiter and a hiring manager in June 2024, and at first the process seemed seamless. I left the interviews feeling genuinely excited about the opportunity and hopeful about potentially becoming part of the company.
I prepared thoroughly, took notes, and came with thoughtful questions because I truly cared about making a good impression. After completing two interviews, I then heard absolutely nothing until January 2026, when I finally received a rejection email.
I understand that not every candidate will be selected, and I fully respect that. However, receiving a rejection over a year and a half later after investing time and effort into the interview process felt incredibly discouraging and unprofessional. Honestly, it felt like a punch to the gut.
At first I wasnât going to leave a review, but I hope this feedback encourages improvement in how candidates are communicated with throughout the hiring process. Candidates who are motivated, prepared, and willing to put in the work deserve timely updates and basic professional courtesy.
