I applied online and submitted a job personality questionnaire. The talent scout contacted me very quickly after my application was submitted. He sent me a job personality questionnaire prior to the interview and scheduled the interview the very next day via Zoom. I was scheduled to be interviewed by the position's direct supervisor, but was told at the beginning of the interview that she was unavailable. So I met with the department head instead. I was asked many questions about my abilities and experience. I wasn't able to tailer my answers to the position because I didn't know enough about their needs, despite reviewing the job description. I was able to ask questions at the end and understand how my skills fit into what they needed. But by then, I had already answered all her questions. I suggest in the future that the interviewer describe what the needs are for their position and then ask the interviewee questions. The department head didn't know anything about the profession of Graphic Design and I don't think she understood my skillset. So it would have been helpful for me to describe to her how my skillset could fit in with their needs—but I didn't get that chance. I was told at the end of the interview that they would reach out within 24 hours. However, I didn't hear back from them for 3 weeks. (This included the week of Christmas holiday, so I understand a little bit of delay.)
