Three stages, CV screening, virtual interview with the talent manager, face to face interview onsite. The Interviewer was quite welcoming with the process, just basic questions. Do research about the company.

Interview
Contacted the HR in February for an introductory interview. Several follow ups later we reach August (with an online teams call in between) for the final interview. Drove 3 hours to Edinburgh to get rejected. I tried answering case scenario questions which were a bit vague. One of the panel members was more interested in my career gap and why I switched from engineering to business studies and to understand why my previous employers management made the decisions they did (which eventually made the interview go sideways). I expected more discussion about the role.

Why did you switch to business studies from electrical engineering.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all comments seriously and will be passing this along to the hiring team. We would like to clarify that the main delay between interviews was due to accommodating the candidate's personal circumstances. Aside from this, a further delay in the process was clearly communicated to the candidate.
i passed the first interview, then they dumped a written assignment on me. i spent a ton of hours on it, and i’m 99 % sure nobody even opened the file—the next interviewer didn’t mention a single line of it. no offer, no feedback, nothing, even though a high profile figure promised it. they act like they’re the next apple, but the project feels stuck at idea-stage/TRL 1. total waste of time—stay away from this company.

The structure of our formal interviews is communicated to candidates via our job adverts and during the initial screening stages. Our final stage interviews often include a presentation or technical challenge which is aligned with role requirements. Candidates are required to present their strategy or findings with their content being the basis of the conversation.
