I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Engoo Tutors (San Marcos, TX) in Mar 2016
Interview
Interviewed and offered orientation, did not pay for training, demo lesson was too tough--you need to have ESL teaching experience, they expect you to learn mostly everything on your own. I had a lot of criticism about my demo lessons--theyvexpected too much. They said I would not "fit in" because they were worried their Japanese students would not understand me.
You will go through an online assessment where you answer questions. If you passed, you will be invited to a live demo where the interviewer will act as the student. An article will be chosen and you will have a class based on the article. After the demo, you will be informed if you passed or not. Or in some cases, endorsed for retraining.
