Interview
I had a 15-minute interview by phone with a lovely HR assistant. She just wanted to know about your experience and salary expectations. At this point, everything was perfect. One week later, I got an email to book the second interview with three managers. Excellent professionals. However, when it was my turn to talk about myself, I got extended, and they stopped me, telling me that they had read my CV. At that point, I got so nervous that everything went wrong. I am not a Native English speaker, so it was a disaster. I knew it went wrong because the interview was planned for 1 hour and finished in 30 minutes. Anyway, it was a good experience for my following interviews. The next day, they sent an email saying I was not selected because they had better options. I appreciate they took the time to let me know. Suggestion: Present how you will implement your skills in this position. They are desperate to reduce the time spent in their process and increase the quality of their services. Their mission is fantastic for this community because young people do not want to study engineering careers and sciences. People found that being a YouTuber, TikTok, and singer is more accessible than spending five or six years in an expensive and time-consuming university. Especially here in Australia, people earn more money in no-qualified jobs. But the reality is that we need to encourage young people to embrace the sciences. It is essential to survive any natural and human coming changes. I did not get the job. I hope they can find the person that can help them.
