I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Endsight (Berkeley, CA) in Oct 2016
Interview
Submitted a resume via Indeed for the role.
>> Got the first call within a week stating that my resume was reviewed and would like to do a "one-way" video interview. This is a pre-recorded video where HR and staff ask you questions and you record your responses via video. Make sure that you have a hi-res camera on your laptop otherwise, play back quality may be terrible. Submitted my responses and had to send 2 follow up emails each within a week because I didn't hear back from them.............until a month and half later.
>> They finally called me stating that they reviewed my video responses and I got invited to come on site to meet the staff and managers of the company. They asked a few questions about customer service, technical troubleshooting and networking.
>> Got invited for a second onsite interview. Had more discussions about the duties of the job with the VP and other managers. After interrogation was over, the managers and VP went to another room to discuss results and to talk about you and determine final hiring decision.
>> With the feedback that I got from the first interview, I was confident that I was for sure going to get the job and surely enough they did made me an offer.
>> Although, I was a great fit to their work environment, I had to turn down their offer unfortunately. The compensation in the offer was no where near within the current pay rates of the bay area for a field engineer with 0 years experience. I tried to negotiate a salary that's fair but they were firm on their offer. Also, no company phone was provided, so clients would need to call you directly on your personal phone, however, they would reimburse you for most of your phone bill. Mileage reimbursement was below IRS standards.
