I received an initial call to set up the interview. The caller wasnt sure what I had applied for, or of my current location (listed both on the application and on my resume). I was informed that the position I applied for already had a few interviews conducted but another position in the same area was available. When asked about the salary was unable to provide information and stated that would be discussed with an offer if one came. Also stated they wanted someone in the area.
Proceeded to tell me about a different location about 160 miles away from the one that was applied for. Interview scheduled after my expressing a willingness to consider it as well as the one applied for. Agreed to the second location as the caller stated she could only schedule for one location.
On the day of the interview, same person called stating the interview team was curious as to where I was located prior to interview. After being informed again, stated they dont pay for relocation and asked if I would be willing to relocate myself if selected to which I replied yes, for the right position.
Moments later the same person sent a text asking if I were selected, would I be able to be relocated and ready to start 12 days from now.
