I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Emerson (Marshalltown, IA) in Feb 2015
Interview
Spoke with HR over the phone, and was shortly after flown out for an interview. The interview day was very long and tiring. Had 9 1:1 interviews, all of which were the same thing - questions about my resume and experience. Besides the interviews, had a 5 question test in the lab. The test's goal was to check my ability to read schematics, and work with testing equipment.

Given a op-amp, find the Vo as a function of Vin. Had to solve on the board.
I applied through university. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Emerson (Chanhassen, MN) in Jan 2014
Interview
I had an on campus interview at the end of September as the result of a campus career fair. The employee told me that any questions from there should be directed to a lady in HR.
Approximately a month later, I received an email from the HR lady that they were still reviewing candidates and would get back to me at a later time.
Another month and a half passed and I had not heard back, while I had other opportunities/offers and wanted Emerson to be in consideration, so I called HR and she said that she would set up an interview in the holiday season. It was a few weeks out so I figured I would give it awhile to wait for confirmation.
A few weeks went by and I had not heard back. So I sent an email about 2 weeks before the planned date. I received a call back two days before the set date and was told that they were unable to set anything up and that I would have to wait.
I called a week or so later to see if there was any way we could get an interview in and they said there was. So an interview was scheduled for about a week later and I received confirmation shortly after.
They planned to pay by mileage, but I have not received the check yet so I cannot speak on that subject.
I was told I would hear back within 3 days since I had a schedule to keep with other offers. Three days passed and I was a little frustrated so at about 2PM the next day I decided to call and checkup. I was then told that they had hired another candidate with an earlier graduation date than me. It was frustrating that I had to call and it was almost as if they just were not going to call.

Question 1
They asked for two strengths (which was pretty easy) and then followed up asking for two weaknesses. I was not prepared with two weaknesses, only one.
