It was a fairly comprehensive evaluation process where firstly a virtual interview mostly based on technical questions to understand my legal knowledge was held with the Head of the Legal department.
This was followed by a brief call with the HR after a few days and eventually a face to face interview was set up with the President, Legal which was a candid conversation including my personality, professional and personal life goals and aspirations and a major part of it included discussions on prevailing nepotism and gender inequality in the profession.
While I did not appreciate the major focus on gender roles in the profession, I believe it came from a genuine place and was more of a fact of the matter kind of discussion and definitely not focused on me or my candidature.
I appreciate the conversation that I had. It was very insightful and intriguing.
