I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elixirr (London, England) in Sept 2018
Interview
The process was quite fast, I got contacted by an HR representative for an interview which was arranged after only a couple of days. The interview was obtained through an internal recommendation.
I surely do not consider myself to be the best of the best, I am well aware there are many people who are better than I am. But in all honesty, I am sure my interview was good enough for a summer intern position. However, unfortunately, from the start I knew how it was going to go.
The interviewer had a very condescending and annoying tone during the whole interview. I answered to all questions (they were all motivational and based on the CV) in a more than satisfactory manner. The interviewer, at the end, decided to focus on one imprecision (date-wise) of one of my previous internships, the information was not wrong, just imprecise. In addition, it was one of my oldest internships which did not bear much weight on my applications (in my view).
Needless to say, I did not get an offer after that. In my opinion, he had already made his mind up before the interview and tried to find whatever small thing to not pass me. Once I got the rejection, I emailed them in order to ask for more specific feedback in order to understand what I had done wrong. No answer was given, after different follow ups I got an email with some generic response.
Frankly, I had so much admiration for this company. And was really keen to work for it because I admired how it is run, how it was founded etc. But after this experience, I would surely not advise anyone to apply.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Elixirr (London, England) in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied online: submitted application including CV and why I would stand out. Group-based interview split into 4 different sessions over a 6 hour period, with one being particularly numerical based whereas one was much more a case of brainstorming.
Didn't get the place but they did provide feedback which was useful.
