I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elevate Credit in Dec 2016
Interview
1) Originally was contacted by someone in their recruiting department in May 2016.
2) I was passively interested at that point in time and after never being able to get a hold of the recruiter I let it go.
3) Fast forward to Dec 2016 and I entered the market. I reached out to the recruiter and she forwarded my resume to the Sr. Director of Decision Science & Chief Analytics Officer.
4) Immediate response and I ended up having a phone screen w/ Dr. Director of Analytics.
5) All feedback was positive. "currently working on a job description that they feel would warrant something you would have interest in"
6) Onsite Scheduled.
7) Onsite cancelled by them. Rescheduled by them for following week.
8) Onsite times changed by them.
9) Onsite was a series of conversations. A little bit of a disconnect as to what the role would really be.
10) Received an offer.
11) Initially declined as a result of lack of clarity of role.
12) Christmas Holiday. Elevate office closed a number of days.
13) I re-engaged first week of January.
14) Had positive conversations w/ CAO and Sr. Dr.
15) Requested title change to Director (current title) and was agreed upon.
16) Day I verbally committed they said position would not be based in Ft. Worth but rather 50 miles away in a different office. I said let me think about it.
17) Emailed recruiter a few hours later saying it would be OK.
18) Talked to Sr. Director of Analytics at 5PM and discussed role and general excitement of joining team. Great conversation.
19) HR calls at 6PM, expecting notification that firm offer was being sent. Offer rescinded with little explanation.
