Interview
Interviewed with Ekco MSP based out of Port Laoise in Ireland. I applied online for the role.
Step 1 - A Talent acquisition team member rang me for initial screening question that discussed my background, provided overview of the role, salary range, and the hybrid working setup.
Step 2 - Interview with the Hiring Manager. The Hiring Manager provided a further detailed review of the company, the role, the company culture - all very positive I must add. They asked me about my background, followed by competency based questions, and motivations in looking for a new role. Overall it was a very positive experience, the HM was very professional and cordial.
Step 3 - Second Interview with an Operations Manager from a different team. The Operations Manager mentioned this was more of a discussion than a formal interview. Had a good discussion about the organisation, their background, my background, the role, and how the potential role would interact with their department. All very positive, the Operations Manager mentioned that they will submit their feedback to the Talent acquisiton team who will get back to me with updates.
Step 4 - Ghosted by Ekco. I followed up with the Talent acquisition point of contact via e-mail, a week after the second interview. It has been over two weeks and I haven't heard back from them. They've probably gone for a different candidate, but getting ghosted like this after I invested my time and effort is extremely unprofessional.
