I had my first interview with Michael Clifton (Chief Commercial Officer), which was a very relaxed conversation about myself and my experience. Afterwards, I completed a Spanish test with another team member, and finally, I had an in-person interview with Patrick and Billy. That session was also enjoyable — they asked me about my background, what I could contribute to the team, and explained a bit about their plans to grow the company in London.
I genuinely liked the people at Eightcap and found the role itself very exciting. However, what I found disappointing was the lack of follow-up after the interviews. I was left without any update for weeks, and only after reaching out to Michael Clifton on LinkedIn did I learn that the position had already been filled. While I appreciated his response, I believe it would be more professional and respectful to provide candidates with timely updates, even if it’s a rejection. After all, we put time and effort into preparing for each stage of the process.
