I was contacted by a Recruiter from Edward Jones, first you are given a phone Interview done by the Recruiter, then they pass you along to the next phase, if they believe you have what it takes, Then you are contacted by another Recruiter, and they ask you about your Credit Score, this must be in good standings, and you are also given a background check, they also verify your Education. Then, if all goes well you are invited to meet with a seasoned Advisor, who is basically Interviewing you again and asking you a series of questions. I was then passed along again, and waited for someone from Edward Jones to contact me to discuss my location of the Branch, they usually give you several location areas to select from. They also tell you it's possible, for you to take over an existing Branch. Then you will need to wait on a invite for another Interview face to face, if passed along and everything else is good, then you will be receiving a welcome call. The training usually last for around 18 months, and you will also be an actually employee of Edward Jones, they also pay for you to take your Series 6 and 7 License, which you must pass and the good thing is their training classes have a very high success rate of passing the Exam. You will also be paid a base salary during training and once training is done, you will be full commission.
