Having gone all the way to Wakefield station, then to their offices, I had completed their interview. While I felt that the conversation was fluid and intellectually stimulating, what I felt disappointed by was the lack of communication from the team. I was almost immediately invited to take part in a technical assessment having recieved positive feedback for my performance. I was elated because I really enjoyed the sound of working for the EasyBathrooms team and found the challenges presented interesting. Additionally, I felt like I would have not only been offered opportunities to collaborate and come up with creative solutions, but also like the environment fit me. Alas, despite positive feedback and an invite to the following stage, I heard nothing back for days despite being told I would hear from them within a “day or two”. Having reached out several days later to ask what was happening, I did get an apology for the wait and was told I would get my assessment “ASAP”. Yes, there invariably would be a slowing momentum towards Christmas but Christmas Day was two weeks ago now. It’s also been nearly a month since I took part in the first stage interview. Suffice to say, I don’t believe I’m going to wind up progressing to stage two and I wouldn’t be surprised if they went with another candidate. This would be fine if, as appropriate, I wasn’t invited to a second stage, wasn’t told again subsequently that I would eventually be sent the technical task, and if I was given feedback at the very least.
