I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Earth Rated (Montreal, QC) in May 2025
Interview
I networked with the HR contact before so landing the job interview was easy. They move quickly as they are a small company.
My interview was with HR and the hiring manager. They clearly explained to me the role, and asked me to summarize it back. It was 45min-1 hour of use cases and behavioural questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tell me about yourself
2. What do you understand about this role?
3. Describe a time you had to handle a customer or client complaint. What happened and what did you do?

Interview
I had a screening interview with HR for the Customer Experience Manager role. The interview itself was straightforward, covering the basics, and at the end, the HR rep explained the next steps and expected timeline for the process. Unfortunately, I never heard back, despite this follow-up expectation. Regardless of the outcome, it's reasonable to expect updates after taking time for an interview. Ghosting candidates who have already engaged with your process reflects poorly on the company's professionalism.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're really sorry to hear this happened- it's not how we want anyone to feel after interviewing with Earth Rated. We value the time candidates put into our process, and can completely understand your frustration.
While it's unclear how this slipped through the cracks, we’d love the chance to make things right and learn from your experience. If you’re open to connecting, please reach out to our Director of People & Culture at dawn@earthrated.com. We’d appreciate the opportunity to chat and ensure this doesn’t happen again.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback- it’s important to us and the only way we keep improving! Hope to hear from you.
Long process, they make you meet a few levels of management in the span of a couple weeks. I did 3 interviews before being told they were looking for someone with a different type of experience, which was a bummer since they knew my background from the beginning. HR was really nice and explained the process pretty well, nothing to say about that!
