1, 30 min call with a recruiter
1, 45 visio call with the hiring manager
1, onsite panel of interviews (6-7 different people), composed of stakeholders the role would be set to interact with (dev, design, product, business)
Overall good experience, I thought I was going to get a verbal offer per my discussion with the recruiter. The hiring manager even checked all of my professional references. Early in March 2020, after the onsite, pending the decision, the hiring team decided to end the process here. The team really enjoyed meeting me, and told me that I was a strong candidate. Ultimately, however, they felt a hiring decision was being rushed due to internal time pressures. On top of an emergency protocol now in place, the team has decided to reassess our needs for the position.
Then the lead recruiter sort of ghosted me when they put up the position again. It was surely disappointing to not receive full transparence from the hiring team, I was under the impression that radical candor was at the center of the company culture but it seemed to not fully be the case.
