      Analyst Interview

      11 Dec 2025

      No offer

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at EYA (Bethesda, MD) in Sept 2025

      Interview

The hiring process was by far the most excessive and disorganized I’ve ever experienced. I went through eight interviews with multiple team members over the course of nearly three months for a role in the ~$55K salary range — not a senior or executive-level position. Despite making it to what appeared to be the final stage several times, I never received timely updates, and communication was often unclear or delayed. The process felt prolonged without purpose, and it left the impression that the company struggles to make decisions efficiently. If it takes this many interviews to evaluate a candidate for an entry-level role, it raises concerns about internal alignment, decision-making, and overall management structure. Ultimately, I did not receive an offer, which is totally acceptable — but the way the process was handled made it feel like my time and effort were not respected.

      Question 1

They repeatedly asked about college background and what other career paths I would consider — which was surprising given how far I was in the process. After multiple rounds, I expected more role-specific or technical questions, but instead it felt like they were still trying to figure out what they wanted in a candidate. In hindsight, that should’ve been an early red flag about how unclear and unstructured the hiring process was.
