I applied online. I interviewed at ECI Software Solutions (Cincinnati, OH)
Interview
It went about as good as you can expect for any job in this market. I was told to expect to have at least three rounds but maybe more if I didn’t ghost them after the second round that makes 4-5 interview rounds total. I’m not entirely used to a SDR / BDR role so maybe it’s just me but I lost all seriousness and they lost all credibility when they asked me to sell them a pen in the interview I almost started laughing, my guy I am not Jordan belfort. They expect a minimum of 70 calls per day “good reps do 90-100”, 1400 per month and 8 appointments scheduled per month for a BDR. From the good and great salesman I know, they do not engage in a lot of cold calls inside relys on marketing and outside is heavily compensated for the difficulty of their job. This has 45k base salary + commission OTE is 85k, I have a feeling most reps don’t get that I could be wrong though. They also said for the next interview I would have to reach out to the interviewer and pitch why I should get and interview… why do I deserve it? Why should I move forward? I get the utilizing sales skills aspect but this just threw me off I’d rather keep looking than sit and beg you for it I can only imagine how they would treat me if I accepted. Anyway this opportunity could be good but from the interview process I would personally recommend looking elsewhere unless you are desperate or really want a role like that. I promise you there are much better sales jobs out there I have found one and it’s double the pay and half the work. ——— don’t settle, I hope this helps someone.
