My resume was shuttled through by an employee, then I had a first round, half hour interview, then a second round which included a one hour phone interview and a 90 minute writing test. Everyone was very nice and polite. I was interviewing for a position that was very different from my previous experience so there were a lot of questions about my decision to change careers.

Question 1
Why did you decide to apply? What was a leadership situation you faced and how did you deal with it? What is your research methodology? The second interview was case style, which meant a question about how to reduce the costs of a public library. The writing test was also a question about university policy.

Very pleasant interview and exchange between myself and recruiter. First call was interview with recruiter; in several weeks they followed up with a writing assignment followed by another phone interview and case study.

The process took less than two weeks. Starts with a phone screening and then 3 case interviews and 3 behavioral interviews in the same day. Pretty straightforward. If you have prepared for consulting cases before, you should be set.

I was referred by an employee of the company, got contacted two weeks after that to set up a phone interview. A week after the phone interview got a polite formal rejection email. I wasn't a great fit for the company, so I'm not surprised.
