There were 3 interviews total and one performance task. Pretty standard questions, I don't think they even looked at the performance task. Last round of questions were a lot of asking the same thing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Many questions about how I'd motivate the students. Maybe a red flag that their students were lazy and unmotivated.
Lengthy interview process. Could feel pressure to do anything to keep students happy. Probably par for the course with this industry. I did not get hired and was not given a direct reason why.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Due West Education
Interview
This company is SLOW and simply not worth all the effort of application.
I literally completed my 2 interviews and application materials (which was a lot: one timed essay, 2 references with a huge list of questions for each, cover letter, etc) within the span of 1-1.5 weeks. About a week after submission, I got a message saying they were STARTING the review. One of my references shared me the list of questions they were asking them to answer and it was ABSURD how much they asked.
Interviews: The first interviewer was basically reading off a script for 45 minutes. I lost track of what she was reciting after 5 minutes. I pretty much decided I wasn’t interested about halfway through the interview.
Then she basically scheduled me to finish a one hour writing exercise and the second interview within the next 4 days...
I did the second interview anyways because I thought might as well get the interview practice. Second guy was not as bad, asked relevant questions and was engaging HOWEVER it was a bit long and the questions just a tad over.
Waste of time. Don’t bother unless you are willing to wait more than a month for an answer after all submitting all their excessive requests.
I eventually withdrew after waiting so long. Totally not worth the effort.
