I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Duane Morris in Apr 2015
Interview
Was told (a few weeks after accepting position) that when interviewing they look for people who would do well at a cocktail party that they don't know anyone at. Had 2 additional callbacks (4 total interviewers). Seemed to be more of a focus on personality as they already have your resume and know your skills.

Question 1
What do you know about Duane Morris? Why do you think you'd be a good fit?
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Duane Morris (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2023
Interview
I met with two partners first. After the initial meeting, I then had a follow-up with three associates. The interviews were more about fit than substance. I did not meet with anyone from the base office.

Question 1
Why are you looking to leave your current position?
It was surprisingly tough to get my foot in the door for a lateral, despite having been extremely successful during my first few years as an associate at a mid-size firm (and attending a law school that I know they hire from). Of course that's their prerogative, but I got the impression I was summarily dismissed for not ticking some big law boxes.

Question 1
Having had a few friends work for DM, I know they do multiple stages of panel interviews as well as one on one interviews with a few different attorneys. Huge range of questions given the extensive process.
