I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Dryden Air Services (Ottawa, ON) in Aug 2010
Interview
Interview is only to see how bad you want a bad job. obvious questions to see if you can handle open-ended problems. they ask for commitment but dont return the favor. you have to have airport clearance and a airport issued driving permit in order to do the job. theres nothing difficult about the job, except for the fact that you must take a mandatory 1 week training session. theres also alot of down time, because you only work when there are planes on the ground.
