      Photographer Interview

      4 May 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Doyle New York in Mar 2021

      Interview

I applied for a freelance position I found through NYFA and heard back within a week. My initial interview with department supervisor was over Zoom and highly informative; I was then brought in for a studio test before being hired. A month later, when I was up for a full time position, I was interviewed by middle/upper management. They spoke more about themselves than they ever asked about me. I was asked what my ethnic background is and then met with an excited reaction upon my answer. I learned my interviewer’s life story. I learned little information about the position. The offer was incredibly low, negotiation was difficult but with persistence I was able to get through and adjust it a little bit. I think I went back and forth on numbers 2-3 times before settling.
