I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Doppler (US)
Interview
The process: 1. Interview with Recruiter 2. Interview with EM 3. Take home assignment 4-6 hours. They ask you to build an API service in TypeScript that accepts a secret string and returns a tokenized value + a few other CRUD operations. They provide you with nothing other than the requirements so you waste a bunch of time writing all the boilerplate. They purposefully left it open ended, meat of the question posted below. 4. Ghost Don't waste your time on a company that will ghost you after submitting a project they ask you to spend that long on. I wouldn't have bothered but I was between jobs at the time and thought I might as well.

Question 1
Tokenizer API service takehome. "Please think through the possible threat vectors to future proof the service against attacks. This is meant to be open ended, as we care about seeing which attack vectors you think are the highest priority and how you mitigate them."

Interview
In the era of tech layoffs and broken job search processes, my interview with Doppler was a breath of fresh air.
You can tell that they really have put time and effort into their candidate experience, and are genuinely looking for a culture/skill fit on their team.
No BS gotchas or ghosting either.

Question 1
Build a toy web app to the specification they provide. It is a take-home, and took me about 4 hours to complete.
