I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at DoorDash (Melbourne) in Jul 2022
Interview
Very time-consuming process. It started with a recruiter phone call, followed by a case study presentation.
Total of nine interviews with nine different people across the world. The total time spent interviewing was 2 months and 2 weeks. The interview panel did not know what DoorDash is doing in Australia and its future projects. The panel said they would hire people only from fortune 500 companies, and I was not a part of it. A big red flag in the last round of interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at DoorDash (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Was reached out to on LinkedIn, did a quick 5 minute phone screen and felt like I had no relevant experience compared to the questions I was asked so I expected nothing. There was no job description or exact title given to me. Every single conversation felt very rushed. A recruiter then emailed asking to move me to the next round. I had 2, thirty minute interviews. Neither person I interviewed knew what the job was I was interviewing for. They couldn’t even provide me with a general idea - they both were in very different roles and didn’t work together. One had just started the position 2 months ago. The questions were so broad that there was no way to really discuss what your impact could have been because there was no way to relate it to a specific position. It felt very uncomfortable. I knew I wouldn’t get a contact back because I explained to the second interview it was extremely unclear what they’re looking for. I am all about growing industries and also having to find the right fit for the right person but this all seemed like a big waste of time especially because they never received my resume, no one asked me about my experience, and they couldn’t tell me even what department the role would be in and what that department did.
