I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at DoorDash in Sept 2022
Interview
They described the interview process as 4 interviews. By the end it turned into over 2 months and 9 interviews, including the final interview where the interviewer was late and disrespectful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about first principles thinking and critical thinking abilities
They reached out to me (cold) for a phone screen and then didn’t reply to set up availability until I reminded them. I asked for a job description and was ignored. The phone screen switched to a zoom call and he dove into interview questions - a pre interview to decide if he wanted to interview me. I found it to be really pompous, and disrespectful of my time - like they liked to catch people off guard.
I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2024
Interview
Had a recruiter phone screen very soon after applying on LinkedIn. Received a take home case study with a very large data set and was asked to prepare recommendations in a non-slide format.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How can DoorDash improve given the sample data set?
Poor interview process. Recruiter contacted me to chat. Informed me that they would be sending me an assessment to take and moving me on to the next steps. Ultimately recruiter did not send an assessment and after multiple follow-ups, got ghosted. Company has a reputation of ghosting you mid-process, buyer beware.
