      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DoorDash (Orlando, FL) in Jul 2024

      Interview

The interview process was strange. Not conventional like most interviews I've had. And I am pretty good at interview process. The job seems great seems promising. Sounds like the pay can range between 100,000 - 150,000. Which is a really big plus. It's also my understanding that they offer a lot of benefits. Based on conversations with them. This is a sink or swim sales person environment. in the interview process I was asked some very bizarre questions. Things that weren't the type of things that make you think. But rather that they were so dumb it made you feel like you were losing IQ points. When asked why am I the best person for the position? I offered a great deal of insight. I was told that that's not good enough. So then I went on another story and offered more advice and sage wisdom into my lifelong experience of sales. I was told it still not good enough. I asked if I could come back to the question and they said nope. If you can't answer it now that we can get off the call and we won't go any further. I realize that my answers weren't what they wanted answered "because "to me a baseless cause a statement with no backbone just an arrogant narcissistic point of view. And that was the answer that they wanted. I was able to advance to the third round. When I got to the third round, I was informed that I was given a document that I didn't remember ever receiving. The document had went into my spam folder. As well as it sent to me on a Saturday, even though they assured me that they only worked Mondays through Fridays. There was no follow up to make sure that I got the document they then told me that if I didn't have the document that they would not be able to proceed with the interview and I would have to reschedule. I then found it in my spam folder and said I have the document. Would you like to proceed. They said no we want you to study the document and reschedule. I insisted on the idea that I was willing to proceed, even if I didn't study it because I didn't wanna lose this opportunity. They had assured me that I would be able to reschedule. After I got off of the call and tried to reschedule. I was told that they had a one strike policy and that if I screwed up, I was no longer allowed to work for Doordash. As I had pointed out, this had gone into my personal emails spam folder along with the other thousand emails I get per day of spam. I was unaware that it was there. I didn't know that I had to do it. They didn't care about that. They didn't care that I work 70 hours a week and I have two jobs currently. All they cared about was that I was not as prepared as they wanted me to be in their fantasy world. my lesson here is if you make it this far, you lie and roll with it because you're better off being told no having tried die fighting then just being put down like a dog and lied to. it was made very apparent to me and my second interview that they respect and appreciate lying. They think it is a smart way to make sales. Like I said sink or swim.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DoorDash

      Interview

Recruiter chat, then a call with one of the managers, then 3rd interview is a presentation for 2 other managers using the prompt they send you. The male interviewer was eating during my presentation which I didn't really appreciate, he seemed distracted and slightly rude.
