recruiter was very nice; case study was extremely tough and time consuming. no feedback was given and was rejected despite spending the whole day working on it. Not sure what they're looking for but be prepared to spend a lot of time on it

Question 1
Tell me about yourself and Walk me through a time you worked on a difficult project
typical interview process: phone screen, take home assessment, HM call, panel with cross functional stakeholders, call with director.
i went through interview processes for multiple roles within a 4 month time period. for three out of four of those processes, i had my interview canceled because they went with an internal hire, someone who in a later stage, and the role had closed (which they canceled without an explanation and I had to ask). they seem to always have different people in different stages and don't care about wasting your time or getting your hopes up. makes me not want to work there or apply again in the future.

case study questions
First round is with the recruiter, then you are given a take home test which revolves around analyzing data. If you pass, you are then moved onto the next round with the hiring manager and senior manager. They don't provide feedback on interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DoorDash (New York, NY) in Oct 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out about a role I had applied to, said that she will push my profile to a different S&O role as this one was already quite ahead in the process for a few candidates. Sent a take home exercise and then ghosted me.
Another recruiter reached out after I applied to a different job through a referral, said that since I had done a take home recently, I won’t have to do it again and will talk to the team to use that as a proxy and then ghosted again.
