I applied online. I interviewed at DoorDash (Toronto, ON)
Interview
I applied online, and was contacted by a recruiter in the next couple of days.
I was sent a 24 hour take home assignment, which includes a dataset to analyze, and several short questions asking how I'd handle real DoorDash business scenarios. Both tasks were straightforward, however the recruiter sent me the assignment immediately after the interview (I did not request this), when I still had a long day of work left, and little time to work on the assignment.
The first round of interviews had three components: behavioral questions, case study, and presenting results from the data analysis. I felt like I did well in these interviews, but I was not offered a second interview.
**DoorDash should consider changing the take home assignment format, either make the assignment shorter (ex. 3 hours), or move the 24 hour assignment to after the first real interview. It is a waste of so many candidates' time to do a large assignment upfront, before they even speak with anyone on the hiring team. Meet with the candidate first, discuss the position, and then send over the assignment if both sides see a potential fit.

first round is a phone call
There is a take home case study and sql overview
the case study is hard and then more interviews with team and shareholders
lots of behavioral questions and dataset
Was called for a phone screen by an internal recruiter. The whole call went for 30 mins and was quite general. just ran through my CV and asked very standard questions about experience, etc.
1. Phone call with a recruiter
2. Take home case interview (48 hours). 2 parts: SQL questions (easy) + assessment on data analytics with the given data (a bit harder)
3. Online meeting with 2 managers. Both asked about different cases but nothing related to the assessment.
