The overall company culture seems genuinely interesting, and the initial recruiter screening phone call was quick, efficient, and professional. However, the subsequent interview with the hiring manager was disorganized. While the interviewer was friendly, they appeared unprepared, which led to poorly formulated questions and a significant amount of wasted time trying to clarify what they were looking for. The main issue arose when it seems I was expected to have the job description memorized. When I highlighted the standout points I recalled, the interviewer expressed dissatisfaction that I did not know the text by heart and indicated that memorization would be a requirement for future rounds. Ultimately, I chose to abandon the process due to this misalignment, as the interview felt focused on such things rather than assessing actual skills and competencies.
