I applied online. I interviewed at Dole Food Company (Westlake Village, Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
Phone interview with HR was superb. Followed by Zoom interview with intended manager . Middle of an open office space. Tons of background noise. Interviewer had multiple screens and wasn’t looking at me. Was 10 minutes late. Less than ideal. Obviously had little interest prior to or during interview

How would you determine how many gas stations are in the US?
I applied online. I interviewed at Dole Food Company in Feb 2025
Interview
Relatively simple process, despite spanning two months. First came the typical screening interview, then three other interviews with management, then the last was an in-person ~2 hour long meeting/ interview.
I found the interviews to be a bit lackluster but I tend to over prepare, so I was prepared to say the least. I could visibly see the interviewers reading off questions during the virtual rounds, seeming fairly disengaged and disinterested. Throughout these interviews, they kept repeatedly asking me why I wanted to work at Dole/ why I wanted to leave my previous job, in a way that felt slightly rude and off-putting. To be completely transparent, they were acting as if I had ill-intent to be applying to their job? As if they weren't actively hiring? It put me off a bit but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Looking back, I wish I hadn't.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Dole Food Company (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
Interviewed in person after initial HR screening. Met multiple people in person and it took a long time. By the time I received an offer- nearly 2 months I had accepted another role.
