I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Direct Wines in Jan 2022
Interview
Overall pretty positive - did a preliminary phone interview, 3 zoom interviews, and then an offer was made. They also require you to take a predictive index prior to hiring - this took place between interviews 2&3.

Question 1
How do you keep yourself organized given you do many tasks?
Interview process was quick and efficient. I found the interview really easy to navigate with structured questions which focused on my experience and why I wanted to be part of the company.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Direct Wines (South Norwalk, CT) in Jan 2019
Interview
I was approached by a recruiter on linkedin for a Graphic Design position at Direct Wines' South Norwalk location. The recruiter gave me a phone interview to assess my skills/resume and we set up a in person interview. I was given exact instructions by the recruiter (how to dress, where to park, who to speak to etc).
Ok, fine. So I get there about 10 minutes to my interview and i'm sat there for an hour while the person supposedly interviewing me is nowhere to be found. The person at the desk keeps telling me "oh, they will be with you soon"... so obviously, I guess they don't care much about wasting candidates' time.
I was finally called in where a HR woman asked me basic seemingly pointless questions she read from a clipboard, and then I met with the art director where he showed me how they photoshopped wine bottles, asked me a few questions about my skills, and then we were done. Totally worth an hour wait.
A week later, I was given a call by the recruiter and told that they had "hired internally" instead, which begs the question - if you "hired internally", why bother wasting my time with an interview and 2 weeks of communication, and my preparation leading up to it?
I asked the recruiter if she had any feedback for me after the interview, no respon se. I suppose she got her commission for the interview or however that works and was done with me. Good on you recruiter, you got yours, and that's all that matters, after all.
