I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Diode Dynamics in Jan 2022
Interview
HR Director was very easy to talk to and you could tell she was passionate about the company. It was more like a conversation than an interview, but we covered most of the typical interview questions for a higher level management position.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How does this position fit into your long-term career goals.
The interviewer was very nice and friendly!
Even though I did not get the job, it was a lovely experience. I will keep an eye on future positions at this company.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Diode Dynamics (Saint Louis, MO) in Apr 2019
Interview
Applied online, got a call from Tayler Cooper, HR. She did the initial screening, asked both technical & personality type questions. She noted down the answers for technical questions as she had to submit it to Paul, the owner & Trevor Dobbins, Engineering manager.
After few days, she set up a group call with the owner, engineering manager & HR. They again asked technical questions very specific to my design skills & previous experience. Got a call after few days to attend the in person skills test at Saint Louis, MO. They wanted to see a CAD file that I had done to check my skills. After receiving the CAD file, they paid for a return ticket flight from Detroit,Michigan to Saint Louis for the in person interview. In- person interview was very difficult. The owner was with me most of the time showing around the plant, the engineering manager asked all the technical questions. They took me to a conference room at the end of the day to show the parts physically & checked my design skills. Nick Calaroso, the marketing manager picked me up & dropped me back at the airport.
I was unable to join the company because I had commitments in Detroit. I would surely recommend Diode Dynamics to my friends because the pay the market price, give 19 days PTO, provide a good relocation benefits, medical, dental, vision insurances, 401(K) , life insurance etc. The company culture is also very good in terms on employee trips & team lunches from what I heard from Tayler/HR during the in-person interview.
