Initial Screening – I had a preliminary conversation with HR to review my background, sales management experience, and interest in the role. This stage also covered basic expectations such as schedule flexibility, leadership style, and ability to drive sales performance.
Store-Level Interview – The next step was an in-person interview with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The focus was on leadership qualities, people management, and sales strategy. I was asked scenario-based questions about motivating a team, handling underperformance, and driving results in a competitive retail environment.
Final Interview (Regional/Area Leader) – In the last round, I met with a District/Area Leader to evaluate my ability to oversee multiple departments, coach a team of 8–12 associates, and deliver consistent business growth. This stage emphasized results-oriented leadership, customer experience, and aligning team performance with company goals.
